Marina Pacifica is a residential community located on 18 acres in the heart of Long Beach marina area.
Built in 1974, 570 condominium units, lagoons, pools, boat slips and gated bridge demand long range renovation plans.
Since 2009 Roger Peter Porter, with full dedication, has been serving as an architect and construction consultant to the Board of Directors and management team.
The homes were built practically on the water and require constant maintenance work, directed by expertise of an architect knowledgeable in the area of pile footings, water repellant materials, and updated building code life and safety requirements.
The cost of engineering recommendations, the qualifications of subcontractors, are constantly under review by architect. The communication with the management team his highest priority.
One of the significant achievements was reconstruction of the gated bridge access to Marina Pacifica Mall.
One of the significant achievements is reconstruction of the pedestrian bridge which connects Marina Pacifica with Marina Pacifica Shopping Center. The Bridge 300 feet long spans over channel and required 70 feet long glulam beams. Imported ipe decking was recommended and installed. The unique design of pilaster light fixtures make the bridge truly inspirational. The bridge work received Design Recognition Award from the Woodworks Institute in 2018.
